These Terms and Conditions apply to all web, tablets, phone, fax or postal orders placed by you with LEGO System A/S, reg. no. 47458714, Åstvej 1, DK-7190 Billund (hereinafter referred to as “LEGO”). These Terms and Conditions only apply to consumers and do not apply to retailers or business owners/companies.
How it works
Once you have ordered and paid for your goods in the LEGO Shop, LEGO will send you an e-mail confirming the receipt for your payment online, details of your order and details regarding delivery, providing that you submitted an accurate e-mail address when placing your order. We cannot guarantee that all the ordered goods are available in our inventory at all times but we will ship these as soon as possible.
Order Details etc.
We encourage you to print or save a copy of these Conditions, your payment information for paying online and shipping confirmation e-mail immediately upon receipt, in case you need to contact us with any questions about your order. If you notice that any of the information emailed to you is incorrect please contact us immediately so we can correct it.
Prices
All prices are stated inclusive of all applicable taxes. The LEGO Group does not offer VAT refunds for orders placed online on LEGO.com/shop or over the phone. The price applicable is the price set out next to the product in question on the website on the date of ordering. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Delivery costs are as stipulated in the Shipping and Handling section and will be added to all orders.
Payment
- Credit/Debit card
We accept payment by MasterCard, Visa and Switch/Solo (UK only). Your credit/debit card will be pre-authorised for payment at the time of ordering. As part of this authorization process, your bank will place a hold on your account for the purchase amount of the order. The hold will be removed after a number of days determined by your banking institution. You will not be charged for the items until they have been shipped.
The LEGO payment solution is based on the SSL standard, which means that your information submitted in connection with the payment transaction is protected by encryption.
- Invoice (Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands ONLY)
LEGO accepts payment by invoice in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. However, LEGO reserves the right to request pre-payment on any order if the settlement of the invoice may otherwise be insecure.
When ordering by invoice, you commit to pay within 18 days upon receipt of your invoice. If payment does not take place within this period, you will be in breach of contract for delay of payment and LEGO is entitled to claim interest for delay at the rate 5 percent above the ECB base rate http://www.ecb.int/stats/monetary/rates/html/index.en.html Title to all products shall not pass before full payment has been received by LEGO. If paying by invoice, the order and invoice should arrive within 5 business days of each other.
When payment is made by invoice LEGO sends a maximum of three (3) reminders before the debt is placed for collection.

- Delivery Times
The usual time of delivery depends on the address of delivery and is estimated in the Shipping and Handling section.
- Liability for delay of delivery
LEGO makes every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales; however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. If LEGO does not deliver the goods within the estimated timescales you call upon LEGO to make the delivery within an additional period of time appropriate to the circumstances. If LEGO fails to deliver the goods within that additional period of time, you shall be entitled to terminate the contract.
- Liability for damage during transport
LEGO has the risk and liability for damage to the goods during transport when delivering until you or someone appointed by you have taken physical possession of the goods.
If you choose to return the goods regardless of the situation you will have the risk and liability for damage to the goods during transport when returning until LEGO has taken physical possession of the goods.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 90 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 90 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the first good.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform LEGO at the address given bellow of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. contacting customer services).
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
- Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. The returned goods must be substantially the same condition and quantity as delivered by LEGO.
